It marks the debut of rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, replacing his uncle Malcolm, who left the band after being diagnosed with dementia. Rock Or Bust

For me, the only sour note is the gratingly adolescent chorus of 'Emission Control', which veers way too close to Def Leppard territory. I am looking for AC/DC Rock or Bust CD packaged in a jewel case not the digi pack.



It’s been a fun ride. The title track alone is already a classic.

I will take the USA press. Inside the cover there are plastic sawdust, on the disc itself plastic shavings. referencing Rock Or Bust, LP, Album, 180 + CD, Album + Len, 88875034841, 88875034852 f this is their last album (and given the retirements, criminal charges, and medical issues, it appears that this may very well be the last), I think it’s safe to say they’ve gone out on a relatively high note with this one. – with his style all over proceedings (of course), and all songs credited to ‘Angus Young & Malcolm Young,’ just like on Black Ice. The first edition has a lenticular cover, which shows the title "exploding" Baptism By Fire 09. Better than Black Ice. A dedication on the booklet’s penultimate page also reads, in touching simplicity, ‘and most important of all, thanks to Mal, who made it all possible.’Getting nephew Stevie Young to assume the position has, ironically, been a breath of fresh air for the veteran band who – let’s be honest – have made their share of stinkers, especially through the ‘80s. Rock or Bust, the group's 15th studio album, benefits from a modest sense of scale.

I didn't even know there was a CD ithe vinyl jacket (I alreday owned the CD), cool bonus for those that don't have it. Have album,mint condition,not opened,have single too.Waiting for amplifier for my turntable,and then God help neighbours!

i hope this was the last ac/dc record as it is very good, i felt black ice was rather weak, this is a great high note to go out on, NOBODY in ac/dc is broke they dont need the money, sadly with the loss of brian and phil and then cliff there is no way ac/dc can be ac/dc anymore........................................... ive been a fan since 1979 lets let this go on a great high note!!!!! That they’ve risen above that to produce an album as good or better than Black Ice – and certainly better than at least five or six of their catalogue – is practically a triumph for a group of guys that range from 59 years old (Angus) to 67 (singer Brian Johnson. The thought of an AC/DC without Malcolm Young – the foundation and driving force of the band for most of their forty year career – was and still is inconceivable, yet here we are in 2014 with a Mal-less Rock Or Bust after degenerative dementia got the better of the guy that many call the best rhythm guitarist ever.His presence still looms large over the new album – which at only eleven songs is somewhat more concise than its predecessor Black Ice, which weighed in with fifteen tracks (though they again include four songs with the word ‘rock’ in the title!)

The later day material is highly underrated.

Editors' Notes Filled with shrieking guitars and wicked wordplay, Rock or Bust has all the hallmarks of vintage AC/DC. Only compliments for this great band, for the record and the way it was recorded. Rock solid album but they've never released anything short of three stars in my opinion.

'Dogs of War' deftly recaptures the lurching menace of classics like 'Let Me Put My Love into You' and 'Spellbound', while 'Rock the Blues Away' demonstrates the subtle vulnerability of which AC/DC has always been capable despite its sledgehammer reputation.
