There are players with various skill levels and matchup experiences that are all valid in their own ways as long as the relevant info is taken from it.
I haven't fought a good DK with Ike yet, but I have with Cloud. I didn’t see a comprehensive matchup guide for Ike anywhere so I decided to make my own.

We are still getting used to him being good after the PTSD that is Brawl/Smash 4. Having just read the mario entry, it's not that bad. Matchup Chart Compilation. So I'm still not convinced Mario's matchup is much better than 40/60 The chart is current as of July 9th, 2013 with a wholesale new version stated to be "extremely unlikely", though there is intent for a new process to update specific matchups instead of the entire chart. Haven't seen something like this since the Gamefaqs days. Cross-up Nair is a nice mixup as well as Cross-up Bair.
12 months ago. DK's kill moves come out a lot quicker than Ike's and he can set up his kill moves with a super-armored Side B. DK's grab range is ridiculous and at mid percentages he can basically ragdoll you off stage. Dk's tilts are even faster than Ike's Dtilt and outrange it, so that doesn't have nearly as much utility as normal. And as characters with similar weight, Snake doesn't gain as much from grenade trading as he would from a lightweight.

Honestly the only matchups I feel comfortable saying he's 60-40 are Doc and Wii Fit, and those I'd only put at 60-40.

Just as easily as Ike can gimp DK's recovery, DK can do the same with maybe a bit more trouble. To use it, choose a character from the left side. An Ike with good spacing might be the most difficult fight for Ness in the game.

Ike - 4.3 Vote for tiers. However, no player is perfect, and as soon as you make one mistake Mario can punish you for 60%-80% pretty easily with one combo. Then later on you say Ike only loses to characters who can combo him off stage and gimp him, which Mario can definitely do. Woops! Another bit of seemingly bias is just cause he's slow, this automatically means he loses to every projectile user out there, well if that were the case then we might as well throw wolf, marth, lucina, and peach simply because projectiles can be a rather big problem for all of those bar wolf, who is just slow.
